I love to read about missions, but I don’t always love what I read. There are four questions that I’ve been asking lately to help me evaluate the books and ideas I’m encountering. These four questions are not mine but are biblically derived and guide my thoughts as I evaluate any missions book, article, training, method, tool, cultural principle, or biography.
Keep & Teach all of God's Word
The faithful mission worker trembles at the Word of God. She goes to the Bible often and is careful not only to find direction and intimacy with God there, but also to not make the Bible say what it doesn’t say. In short, missionaries should be committed to keep and teach all of the Bible. Anything less will have devastating results.
